Well the gamer curse is on its way. I Just was on the phone with Asus, spoke to a nice guy on their motherboard support but ended up spending a half-hour and pretty much determined that either the board shorting out on the case or is the motherboard just plain bad. So now I have to pull it apart, power it up and see if I get my beeps. If I don’t get beeps that means the motherboard is bad and off it goes back to NewEgg a RMA, get myself another one, we will see how that works out.
Last night at 8pm, I finally get my “new” memory from NewEgg. After installing them, I fired it up…………FAIL. It will not post to video. Called ASUS, the maker of the motherboard, they asked me if I had a case speaker installed. I said to them, “If that was so important, why wasn’t one on the MoBo already?” No answer. Now my task is to find a case speaker locally. I would have a better chance finding Bigfoot. I know this is a test on how bad I want it, but I feel that I had already passed that.
Stay tuned for my next installment. How long did it take me to find a case speaker.
Why can’t people just do what they say? If you commit to do something….. do it. I have in the past, had difficulties get things done. We all have.
Ask me the difference of single vs. dual channel memory….. I know now. It was a $30+ mistake that I hope that I won’t repeat. The silver lining in this is that I did get a chance to neaten up the cables in the case. Photo gallery coming soon.
Sorry NewEgg but, Rush processing doesn’t mean that you charge my credit card in fifteen minutes. My last two attempts at “Rush” processing has met with it taken over 3 to 4 day to even get out of the warehouse. If the processing doesn’t go in the allotted time, credit them, don’t make me ask for it back. Epic Fail
Well. this is new hosting for me and I hope it was the right move. Currently I am in the middle of a “Gaming Computer” build, but someone got the wrong memory…..me. Live and learn. Any way Hello from here and thank you.
